Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I really like joining virtual meetings. I like to stare thoughtfully at the computer screen and then blink very slowly. It makes me look like I’m about to say something impressive!”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “EFAO members give the best head scratches and tummy rubs, hands down.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I love overseeing all of the lettuce variety trials. I consider myself a lettuce connoisseur, and in my new role as ED I’ll be the official lettuce taste tester for all research trials. Lettuce conduct research!”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I just love soil. Mostly I love digging holes in it! I also love everything related to soil health, like rolling around in compost to assess its stinkiness. I also enjoy performing livestock fecal analysis. Allison thinks the “unconventional” way I go about it is gross, but I just love it.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I like protecting seeds from various creatures, and reminding people that they should spend less time on Zoom and more time with Zoom, by which I mean, they should pay more attention to me.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “Working in Communications at EFAO allows me to use my greatest strength, which is my very loud voice. I also love watching webinar recordings…especially ones with birds in them.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: I love field days! One time at a field day a member gave me a treat and told me I was a good boy. It was the best day of my life! I also love working from home because it allows me to take mid-day naps! My favourite.

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I love that I get to try sleeping on so many different things thanks to EFAO’s work. Some of my favorites are sleeping on dried alfalfa, and sleeping on top of a tray of microgreens growing under lights.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I love pollinator gardens. Butterflies are so tasty!! Sadly, I’ve been strongly discouraged from participating in EFAO’s work in this way, but I still believe pollinators are very important for ecological farming.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I love that so many EFAO members protect grassland habitat for birds, and that I can support them while working from home. Because I REALLY like birds…but I’m also an indoor cat and I’m pretty attached to my favorite office chair.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I love training the kitten interns to deliver EFAO’s incredible quarterly magazine to members. Even when it’s exhausting. So exhausting.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “Delivering the magazine is such a fun way to interact with members, and they’re always so surprised when two kittens arrive at their door!”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “My passions are simple: I love scaring weasels away from chickens. BOO!”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “In addition to letting me live my passion for livestock protection, working for EFAO allows me to indulge in my other favorite activity: counting sheep.”

Favourite part of working for EFAO: “I love working with Luna, and I know she loves working with me too…even when she pretends to be annoyed.”
