Shade of Miti is a food and climate justice organization for communities that experience systemic oppression from our food and climate systems, allies and accomplices. They envision sustainable food systems in Mississauga that are not threatened by climate change and social or economic injustices. Find out about their new farm, Miti Acres, as well as other projects on the go. Participants will be sent a pre-recorded video and then join a live discussion, question and answer session.

This event is offered as part of the Ignatius Farm New Farmer Training Program. Educational content is geared toward new farmers, but is open to all farmers who might be curious about a certain topic, wishing to expand their farming knowledge, or in need of a refresh.

Anyone wishing to attend the full Term 2 can register here. Registering for Term 2 does not require you to register for each individual session.

In order to make our training and community building events accessible to all farmers (and future farmers) in Ontario, the Ignatius New Farmer Training Program strives to cover registration fees for anyone facing financial barriers. Need assistance covering the registration fee? Let us know!
