It may be -20C outside right now, but Ivan and Brittany of The Ugly Barn Farm are busy propagating, growing and processing a wide variety of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms indoors. TUBF produces 18 mushroom species, including oyster, shitake, chestnut, lion’s mane and reishi mushrooms for direct market and retail/restaurant sales. They also produce a variety of value-added products using their mushrooms, including mushroom jerky, pickled mushrooms, dried meals in jars and mushroom growing kits.
