Garlic Growing: Trials and Q&A

Tuesday April 2 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Member/Standard | Free Register

Garlic planting is a staple in many farmer’s years, but when and how exactly this gets done can be tricky! In this webinar, Travis Cranmer (Vegetable Crop Specialist with OMAFRA) will share some of the findings from his research on “when is the best time to plant garlic?” done in 2022 and 2023. Travis will give attention to considerations of soil type, frost dates, cultivar selection, and how these variables can influence root establishment that can prevent winterkill and result in higher yields. After presenting his findings, there will be ample time for attendees to ask questions and have discussion.
