Norm Lamothe of Woodleigh Farms knows that  you don’t need to be certified organic to grow your field crops in a more ecologically sustainable way. He uses strategies like diverse rotations, cover crops, and reduced tillage to produce a variety of small grains crops. He also invests in other ecological ‘extras,’ like a pollinator garden and making his own compost on-farm.
