This meet-up (or “meat-up”) will focus on how to talk about the environmental and health benefits of pastured meat and the ethics of animal care in a way that resonates with customers. Presenting farmers will share their strategies for marketing and customer education, followed by a facilitated group conversation to discuss questions, ideas, and resources. We’re looking forward to hearing from Katrina McQuail (Meeting Place Organic Farm), Mike MacGillivray (Kirkview Farms) and Karen Ferron (Ferron Family Farms) to start the conversation. Join fellow farmers to share ideas, gain inspiration and discuss how to respectfully address misconceptions and lend nuance to these conversations.
