Joining the EFAO Board of Directors

The Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO) Board of Directors helps oversee and guide the organization. We envision an Ontario where thriving ecological farms are the foundation of our food system, and where agriculture protects our resources, increases biodiversity, mitigates climate change, and cultivates resilient, diverse, equitable communities.

Are you passionate about ecological farming and farmer training? Farmer-led research and knowledge sharing?

Are you interested in advancing anti-racism, equity and belonging in ecological agriculture?

Do you have skills, experience, or perspective to support the governance of a charitable organization?

Established in 1979 by farmers for farmers, EFAO is a membership organization that focuses on farmer-led education, research and community building. EFAO’s mission is to support farmers to build resilient ecological farms and grow a strong knowledge-sharing community.

Since 2020 we have been working hard to ensure that our programs, activities, and governance support racial equity and reflect the diversity of the members and communities we aim to serve. We are committed to ensuring that our programs, activities, and governance support racial equity and reflect the diversity of the members and communities we aim to serve. Real representation for equity-deserving groups within our organization is fundamental to achieving these goals.
