Join us to celebrate the culmination of five years of EFAO’s Small Grains Program, including interactive reflection, sharing outcomes from the Program (including Adaptive Nitrogen Trials results), a presentation from an expert speaker, and a delicious lunch together.

In September, we’ll host three regional celebrations open to all, each at a different brewing company, some of which are owned and operated by EFAO farmer members!

Exciting new research — Opportunities to engage and provide your perspective — Door prizes & cold drinks!

Speaker: Dr. Dave Hooker – Sustainable Nitrogen management in wheat: New Research

Dr. Hooker is a field crop agronomist at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus, where he manages many field-based trials including the 30+ year long-term rotation trial. His research aims to achieve a greater efficiency and sustainability of corn, soybean, and wheat production using an applied systems hypothesis-driven approach, through a better understanding of interactions among genotype, environment, and other crop response factors and input variables.
