The New Farm Centre (NFC) has been a hub of regenerative growing and educational gathering for over 20 years. The Centre is the first vegetable farm in Canada to be Regenerative Organic Certified, the highest standard of regenerative practice in the world. At this field day, participants will join the NFC team for a first-hand look at their vegetable and livestock production, and hear how they share about their regenerative growing practices with other farmers and the broader community.

The tour will culminate with an in-depth look at the New Farm’s hoop house production. Participants will see first-hand how they set-up to grow approximately 30,000 organic cucumbers each year, for sale through wholesale and retail channels. In addition to the NFC team, Norm Eygenraam of Multi-Shelter Solutions will join the group to share his nearly 50 years of experience in hoop house sales and support. Using the New Farm’s structures as examples, Norm will be able to offer perspectives and considerations on structure, set-up, costing and more. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions about their own hoop house needs.
