BIPOC Farmer Meet-Up
Tuesday December 6, 2022 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
This Community Conversation is part of the EFAO 2022 Virtual Conference (taking place December 6-8th 2022), and is also free for the broader community. Please note that this session is open to all Black, Indigenous and other people of colour who are current / former / aspiring farmers, food growers or producers and land stewards only. If you are interested in attending the rest of this year’s conference, please visit the conference website for session information and the link to register!
Join us for a friendly meet-up to kick off the conference and connect with fellow Black, Indigenous and other farmers of colour. Come hear about and meet some of this year’s amazing presenters, learn about Toronto’s Black and Indigenous Farmers Market, talk to fellow farmers and share resources in a warm and welcoming environment. There will also be a feature presentation by farmer Judith Burfoot of Farm 77 in Prince Edward County on Getting Started with Small Livestock! This Meet-Up is open to all Black, Indigenous and other people of colour who are current / former / aspiring farmers, food growers or producers and land stewards, and will be led by Angel Beyde and Amy Cheng. It is not required to be a current EFAO member to attend.
