Are aphids bugging you (and your crops)? Flea beetles got you down? Join this session, intended for market and home garden vegetable growers, to brainstorm ecological solutions to insect pest problems and opportunities to support predatory beneficial insects in your garden planning. Participants will be able to share their questions and ideas and work in groups to create pest management plans for the upcoming season. All experience levels welcome.

About the Facilitator: Fianna Dirks has been working as a farmer for the last 11 years focusing on organic growing, on-farm compost production, and beneficial insect habitat creation. When not ogling over the micro universes of soil microbes and insects, they are usually reading Sci-Fi or on the hunt for a sequin outfit. Fianna is running a 2022 Farmer Led Research Trial on beetle banks.
