Please join us on May 5 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm for an online meet-up for growers and land stewards from our Network for Black, Indigenous and other people of colour.

This online Meet-Up will feature farmer Ronaldo Lec of Luna Mia Farm sharing about growing amaranth, seeds and corn. Luna Mia is a Guatemalan-Canadian family farm using ecological, traditional Mayan practices to grow veggies, small grain and manage a flock of sheep, chickens and ducks. They have grown organic seeds on contract for a seed company, have practiced and taught permaculture for 20 years and have a partnership with bean-to-bar chocolate company Chocosol to produce organic amaranth.

There will be time for Q & A and social connection, as well as general sharing on topics like mentorship, funding opportunities, educational programs and more. Find out about sourcing seeds, programs, grants and other opportunities coming up in 2025.
