Small Grains Winter Webinar Series: Monitoring Progress Toward Ecological Grain Growing
Wednesday March 19 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
If you’re a farmer working toward the goal of ecological or regenerative grain growing, this session is for you.
When farms are working to connect their agricultural work to natural systems and ecology, traditional or conventional tools for assessing farming may not be helpful in informing future decisions.
Ruth will guide farmers to understand what parameters will be most helpful to understanding individual farm contexts, introduce options for monitoring key indicators to measure progress, and discuss what tools are available that are most applicable to regenerative/ecological farms.
Speaker:
Ruth Knight is a Professional Agrologist and Certified Crop Advisor with more than 20 years in independent consulting services for a variety of farming systems. Her experiences also include serving on the boards of the Maitland Conservation Foundation, Organic Council of Ontario and Agricultural Adaptation Council.
EFAO’s Small Grains Network is funded and supported by the Weston Family Foundation’s Soil Health Initiative.
