

Term 1: Ignatius New Farmer Training Program
Monday April 19 - Thursday April 29
Term 1 focuses on establishing a foundation of knowledge and language for basic farm work.
Register for the whole term or choose individual events (registration will open for individual events 4 weeks prior to the event).
All events are recorded to allow participants to watch on their own time. Recordings will be made available within 48 hours of the event.
Term 1 includes:
Full term participant virtual meet-up Monday April 19th, 7-8pm
April 21: Introduction to Organic Growing: 9-10:30am and Botany 101 for Farmers and Gardeners:1:30-3pm
April 23: The Language of Ecological Agriculture and Food Systems in Ontario, Part 1: 9-10:30am and Part 2: 1:30-3pm
April 26: Identifying and Controlling Pests and Diseases: 9-10:30am and Farm Workers’ Rights and Responsibilities: 1:30-3pm
April 28th: Introduction to Indoor Growing: 9-10:30am and Introduction to Soil Health: 1:30-3pm
Full term participant debrief virtual meet-up Wednesday April 28th, 7-8pm
